Regular Visits Help You Avoid Emergencies

Regular visits to your pediatric dentist every six months can help your child avoid dental emergencies. Also, a daily routine of brushing as flossing goes a long way to prevent decay and toothaches.

Kids often place things in their mouths. So, discourage them from chewing anything hard that can damage the teeth. (sticks or toys) While teaching kids about oral health, please encourage them to treat their teeth carefully.

Mild Toothaches

A child’s teeth are more vulnerable to decay. On occasion, they may develop a toothache. Sometimes, pain can be due to food stuck between the teeth. So, try to floss away and debris.

To manage pain, give your child Tylenol or Motrin. A cold pack wrapped in a towel will help alleviate the swelling. Then, call us to schedule a visit.

Severe Toothaches

A severe toothache can indicate a problem like a deep infection, and you may need emergency dental services. Call us immediately. In the meantime, for pain management, take Tylenol.
